That’s why, at the School for Entrepreneurship and Technology (SET High), a tuition-free 9th-12th grade high school in San Diego, we make your time here rewarding. Our California Distinguished School is committed to a complete education that engages every student, including one of our favorite leadership electives to date: Project You!
High School Core Classes, A-G, & Electives
A great feature of SET High is you have interesting choices when it comes to course offerings. All of our courses prepare you for your fabulous future, cover California’s UC A-G requirements for college entry, and even set you up to take college courses in high school. You get to take classes at your level, whether that means skipping ahead to Calculus or settling in with a hot cup of grit as you tackle some literary analysis. You design your own learning journey.
You also have choices when it comes to what kind of core topics you take. Yes, there’s US History and World History, but there’s also Conspiracy & Propaganda where students take a look at fallacies and misleading campaigns throughout history. Our job is to help you find your passion and one way we do that is by offering classes that are intriguing and exciting. Leadership & Life Skills while in High School
Project You! is just that: a leadership elective that spotlights you, focusing on practical knowledge, personal development, and key life skills. From managing finances to understanding legal rights, from exploring careers to developing emotional intelligence, this course for seniors covers a spectrum of topics pivotal for modern living. SET High is cultivating the next generation of creative and forward-thinking leaders in a comprehensive and thoughtful way.
Each week at our WASC accredited high school we delve into a different theme and examine real-world problems, explore solutions through research and expert insights, and encourage reflective discussions.
Project You! is pretty much SET High’s mission in a class: we prepare students to thrive both personally and professionally in an increasingly global, technology-driven society.
Follow Your Passion
Every Friday Project You! is dedicated to Passion Projects, where students apply their weekly learnings to a topic that personally resonates with them.
Passion Projects are a fixture at our small high school. We believe that if you are passionate about something, you’ll want to come to school to learn more. Passion Projects are an outgrowth of our school’s trailblazing entrepreneurial mindset. They can be a subject you’re taking and wanting to know more about, a hobby you’re obsessed with, or an idea you want to investigate. These projects might figure into your future or they might be fulfilling for the moment- both are welcome!
