Life is too short for mediocre courses. If you’re not planning for a mediocre life, create a personal and meaningful learning journey at the School for Entrepreneurship and Technology (SET High). We’re not your typical free public school for grades 9-12 in San Diego, as you can see from these new electives offered in the fall semester of 2023-2024 school year.
Leadership SET Style
Award-winning Ms. Geis rings in the new year as both our new Vice Principal and the enthusiastic educator for The Things I Wish I Knew in High School. Learn her next level wisdom about leadership The SET Way, including but not limited to:
- Identity & Self Image
- Relationship Bank Accounts
- Belonging
- The Golden Rule vs. The Platinum Rule
- Emotional Intelligence
Creativity Calling
Are you flexing the right side of your brain? Turn off your inner critic and practice hands-on creative crafts, such as:
- Set-building and stage props in the theme of your favorite video game
- Practicing the finer techniques of paper mache
- and Collaborating on a campus rock garden
All skill levels and grades are welcome to take this new elective, Crafting Creations.
Social and Leadership Committee
Balance event-planning with a little student government in ASB – Associated Student Body. This supervised class teaches students the practicalities and responsibilities associated with both social and leadership roles. Dances, pep rallies, and spirit week all fall under this hybrid elective, typically catered to the 9th grade.
